Choose Yourself Every Time.

Let me tell you something that took me way too long to learn—

If you don’t choose yourself, no one else will.

For years, I thought being “a good person” meant always saying yes, always showing up for others, always putting their needs before mine. You know what that did? It drained me. Burned me out. Left me wondering who was going to show up for me.

Here’s the hard truth—people will keep taking as much as you give. Not because they’re evil, but because you’ve taught them it’s okay. And one day, you wake up realizing you’ve been last on your own list for way too long.

Choosing yourself isn’t selfish.

It’s survival.

It’s self-respect.

It’s a love letter to the future you.

It’s saying:

I will not shrink to make others comfortable.

I will not set myself on fire to keep others warm.

I will not apologize for wanting peace.

And you know the best part? When you choose yourself, you actually have more to give the people you love—because you’re not pouring from an empty cup anymore.

So please—choose yourself when it’s hard. Choose yourself when it’s uncomfortable. Choose yourself when it makes people talk. Choose yourself especially when you feel like you don’t deserve it—because that’s when you need it most.

At the end of the day, you’re the only person you have to live with forever.

Make sure she knows you’ve always had her back.
